Well, it’s 1:44AM and I’m still glued to CNN…
I have SO many mixed feelings about all this… I don’t think we should be there (I don’t think we should have EVER been there). I don’t pretend to know worldly things, but I sure as heck know we’ve interfered SO MANY TIMES in the middle east (to THEIR detriment).. BUSH has told us NOTHING of substance to support these recent actions.
But I ALSO know that Saddam is an evil bitch who must be destroyed… (but should his people be destroyed at the same time?)…
SO here I am provisioning servers so we can increase our hosting revenues (and we sure could use em!)… watching CNN tell me that Iraq is now sending bombs over to Kuwait and CNN is wondering if they are chemical attacks.. What if they aren’t? What if we find that Saddam is just an evil bitch with NOTHING of import? What if we kill too many innocents? What if they kill too many of ours? (I view the troops there as innocents.. because they are following orders..)..
Don’t get me wrong.. If I suddenly found myself face to face alone with Saddam with nothing but a PDA Stylus, I’d scream real loud and drive that damned stylus into his EYE!!!
I’m no pacifist… but I suspect I am a cynic.. and I have lost faith in our path.. (the path of Americans)… I think that sometimes we go to far, or chase the wrong rabbit… We have ENOUGH problems right here in our own country..
And I am SO GRATEFUL that I live in a country where I can even type these words.. and I’d gladly DIE defending that…
Oh well.. back to Hosting Controller and new server provisioning… (I’m such a hypocrite).
