I am sure glad that I had opted NOT to buy the iPhone when it came out. It was pricey, but it was almost irresistible.
A few weeks ago I was trying to figure out if I was going to take the plunge. I had decided that while it’s a fabulously spiffy TOY, it just didn’t have all the features I really need in a phone; 3G, lots of add-on programs (like terminal services!) and ability to integrate with GPS.
Oh thank goodness! They went and lowered the prices and pissed off a whole bunch of “early adopters”. This is a crowd you don’t wanna mess with. We’re the folkes who evangelize something when it’s great, and denigrate it if it sucks.
But I was thrilled when I saw they were releasing a new model of iPod (I don’t go anywhere without my Linkin Park!). The iPod Touch; based on the same design as the iPhone. I’ve decided to “early adopt” it! I’ll let you know how it goes (the ONE person who reads this blog; my mother)!
For a phone, I had already opted to go the Cingular/AT&T 8525 route, and am extremely happy with it.
Of course, technology being what it is, the 8925 is right around the corner. UGH! Why can’t I just go into the future a few years and buy the latest technology and bring it back with me!
On another note, I’m going back home in a few days. Been in Fort Lauderdale for many many weeks and it’s time to get back, get a coin and eat some cake! YAY!
